I am collecting information on book reader. i have seen lot of flash flip softwares and other slideshow type book reader. In Flex there is only one book reader, which is developed by rubenswieringa. He developed this reader in beta version for free.Which is available in rubenswieringa.com. We can use it for our own pupose but there are no main features like page navigation, web 2.0 technologies and full screen mode, audio, zooming in, zooming out so i am involving in developing in rubenswieringa book reader
In this book reader we convert our page to jpeg or png and put into xml. This is useful if we use for our pesonel use in blogging or own website. But we want to establish own publishing company which facilitates its user to upload their document in any format and book reader converts it automatically.
If we success in developing this reader, we can host for Tamil books. Now a days we could not read all tamil enabled sites because of font problem. Reader eliminates this problem by converting to jpeg.
Main issue is uploading speed and converting speed so we are concentrating on this. i have uploaded my document in issuu.com and scribd.com but now we can have our own reader to read our document.
